Swim Meet 101

Division Meets

Swimmers and divers are highly encouraged to wear a team suit at all meets.  Swimmers and divers cannot wear a suit that advertises another team such as a high school, a club team, etc.

All swimmers are encouraged to wear a team suit and a team cap. Long hair should be pulled back in a ponytail holder and wear a cap to keep hair out of the way. Team caps will be available for purchase during registration. Swim caps worn during meets must be plain or TEAM caps.

Parents are encouraged to wear team apparel for meets.

Team members not swimming in meets are encouraged to come and cheer for the team. Costumes, make-up, and/or signs are welcome.  Sorry, NVSL rules prohibit the use of noise makers at meets.

Officials Apparel

All officials (including timers, judges, and table workers) should wear white shirts and dark blue pants/shorts. This is an NVSL rule for all deck officials and helps in distinguishing those persons who should and should not be on deck during a meet. Officials should not wear team apparel.
