Hello RFD dive families! It's finally time to get back on the board! Tomorrow dive practice starts for our Water Rats divers. If your little diver is sensitive to the cold don’t worry about missing the first couple of weeks of practice. The coaches will do water lines where appropriate but it all depends on the number of kids and their behavior. A few reminders as you prepare to join us:

• All divers will need to be with their age groups (Seniors and Intermediate- 13 and above @ 4:15 - 5:15; Juniors and Freshman- 12 and under @ 5:15 - 6:15). If you still have other commitments, like our family don't worry - we will see you soon! If you have a diver who is not on the swim team please send them to the first practice. This schedule is ONLY until school gets out. 
• Parents must remain off the deck - our coaches can do their best with you making new friends under the pavilion or in the grass.
• Please remember that the coaches will encourage and ‘push’ divers to complete their dives but ultimately it is up to them. If a diver won’t do a dive we can’t make them. If they start avoiding ‘going’ off the board we will try to get them back in rotation but it is up to them. This is why we encourage your presence under the pavilion to see your kid dive. Plus they always want to show off their new dive.
• Please sign up for Remind text alerts by texting @rfddive to 81010. This is how we quickly announce any weather related cancellations / postponements. This happens ALOT for dive meets since they are right when summer storms hit.  I don’t have access to the email system when not on my computer so it is the ONLY way I can send out updates.
• Our meets are loaded into Swimtopia. Please sign up  ASAP for jobs. We can’t have the meets without you.
• We will NOT have practice on 6/16 so that everyone can celebrate with the end of school party.
• If you have a friend who wants to try dive, we welcome them to try out dive for a practice.
• Don’t forget your sodas!!!

I will not be on deck Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday evenings as I coach two travel soccer teams. Please email me with any questions or grab me on Thursday.
