Progressive Dinner, CrackerJack, and Dvisionals
Progressive dinner is THIS Thursday. More details to come from the swim team. If your diver is going into the 8th grade or above they are invited to join in appetizers and a dinner. Please sign up on the calendar to drop off some food. We still have plenty of spots open.
Two big meets are coming up and registration is needed. Both of these events NEED volunteers to participate (table workers and judges) so if you diver is going to participate I need to know what position you can volunteer for. Coaches have to submit dive sheets for both CrackerJack (by Wednesday) and Divisionals. CrackerJack is this weekend (July 17th) at Ravensworth Pool. Divisionals is July 24th at Ilda. A couple of rules: you must have dove in 3 meets to participate in Dvisionals, you can not do both CrackerJack and Divisionals. If you know your diver can not make Divisionals they can do CrackerJack even if they have placed.
CrackerJack:
This is a much more laid back meet and divers who have not placed (1-3) are encouraged to participate in this meet. They do not have to be legal to participate and the most dives they will need to do is 4 dives regardless of age. Freshman compete 3 dives and everyone else 4. This is a fun meet.
Divisonals:
This meet is for more competitive divers. The judging scores are much lower and tighter than normal. If your diver is using a front jump as their optional I would urge them to dive in CrackerJack. Each pool can only send a certain number of divers.
Please let me know if you diver wants to participate in CrackerJack. The coaches and I will be making the final call but if you diver is interested in CrackerJack let us know ASAP.
Save the date for Saturday July 23rd evening; end of season banquet.
