Parents,

We are super excited for our meets starting up. It’s exciting that we have so many new faces. We love it that kids want to try out dive and get some exercise. In preparation for meets, Tuesday practices will now be reserved for divers who are participating in meets.

At today’s practice many divers told our coaches they weren’t diving or not trying the dives that our coaches asked. Please encourage your divers that they need to try the dives Presley and Julia are asking them to try, our coaches will not have them do anything unsafe. Our coaches are spending a lot of time trying to negotiate with divers to try something and then only end up with a cannon ball.

Presley spends her own money to buy doughnuts on a weekly basis for new dive Wednesday. If legal divers are not willing to participate in meets or try new dives to move up/be legal they will not be able to participate in new dive doughnut Wednesday.

 Unfortunately, Rutherford doesn’t have two diving boards for us to move through divers. Our divers who want to compete are not getting a chance to run through their dives.
