Rules and Participation waiver, COVID link, Remind info

All,

Attached is the one time participation waiver that is required by NVSL. Please print and bring to practice.  Below are some COVID information along with the link to the COVID daily waiver. I have updated Swimtopia with our meets along with the volunteer positions.

Face Masks

Pursuant to RASCC rules, face masks must be worn by everyone over the age of 5 when entering and exiting the pool grounds, in the bathrooms, under the pavillion, in the guard shack and at the snack shack. Separate rules will be sent out for mask use at dive meets.

Health Screening

A daily health screening questionnaire must be completed each day prior to arriving at practice. The questionnaire can be found on the pool website and here. In addition, all team participants must complete the attached one-time NVSL waiver prior to their first practice. Please print, sign, and bring to me at practice this week.

Practices

Practice begins Today!! The general afternoon practice schedule is as follows:

If Presley/Julia has given you a different time please try to attend that time. If you are unable to attend practice due to other commitments, that's ok!

Parent Viewing

Parents are invited to drop swimmers/divers off at practice and return to pick them up. If parents stay on pool grounds, please remain off the deck and away from the pool side. The pavillion, the parking lot, or your car are great options for catching up with your other Mom and Dad friends. Please remember that RFD is not providing chairs this year.

Weather

Please sign up for Remind text alerts for up to date information on weather delays or cancellations of practices and meets. Text @h3f4da to 81010

Volunteers

The dive team relies on parent volunteers, and all swim/dive families are expected to donate their time to help run a successful and fun season. Please check out the volunteer positions for dive meets listed on the team website and consider what might be the right fit for you. Looking ahead, the team is going to need trained officials as us old-timers age out with our kids. If you are a seasoned volunteer, please consider training for one of the many officials positions this year. We especially need judges!! Contact me for more information on the Zoom trainings for officials.

Donations

All swim and dive families are asked to donate a case of drinks to the snack shack: Coke, Diet Coke, Dr. Pepper, Root Beer, Sprite, Lemonade, Tea Lemonade, Gatorade, and water are popular options. You can bring this to the pool any time during the first few weeks of practice.

Sportsmanship

Please remember that respectful conduct is expected of all in attendance at meets and practices. In this very strange year, pools (including our own) are going to have rules and restrictions prompted by the NVSL, pool boards, management companies, and HOA's. Regardless of personal beliefs, we must abide by whatever rules and restrictions are in place not only at our own pool, but when visiting other pools. Any rules or restrictions in place are guided by the principal of creating a safe environment for our divers, and any small inconvenience is worth being able to have a season this summer. Thanks in advance for your flexibility and commitment to this.
