RFD Water Rat Families, 

Here is to an awesome first A Meet yesterday against Waynewood! While the final score was 170-250, we still had a great day within the Water Rat team as we had LOTS of personal bests! Every swimmer should be proud with how they swam yesterday, so congratulations to each and every one of you; the coaches and I are so proud! 

I would like to send out a huge thank you to all of our parent volunteers yesterday because we would never have been able to put on such a successful meet as we did yesterday without you all! Whether you were a timer or a marshal or etc., you all help contribute so much to this team, and the team and I are so grateful for everything you guys you do for us and for taking the time out of your days to help us. 

I also would like to send another big thank you and shout out to Liam Kane, Elise Kent, Audrey Do, and Abby Deer who stepped up yesterday to fill in as our lifeguards throughout the meet. We wouldn't have been able to have our meet at all yesterday if it weren't for them, and I am so proud and thankful for their remarkable leadership and team spirit. 

As for this week, we have a big one ahead for RFD! Tomorrow will be our first B Meet at Canterbury Woods, so make sure to RSVP for your swimmers' events by tonight so that we can know who will be swimming. Each swimmer can swim up to two events and the I.M. if they would like, and please do not sign them up for events that they swam on Saturday if they placed 3rd or higher. Looking forward to seeing some more great swims tomorrow! 

This Thursday is also going to be our RFD Kings Dominion Group trip! Tickets are $38.00 and can be bought online via the KD website listed below https://cf-kd.secure.accesso.com/embed/store.php?emerchant_id=400&merchant_id=13991

You will be asked to sign in, so to do so use KDSWIMDAYS for both the username and password. The trip is always one of the most exciting and fun activities of the swim season, so I hope to see all of you guys there! 

Lastly, our first Pep Rally has been rescheduled for this Friday where we will be decorating bedsheets to hang around the pool during swim meets to show off our Water Rat pride! We will be working with paints so make sure your swimmers will be wearing clothes that are okay with possibly getting dirty, but it's going to be a blast!
